About the role
Bio-Works is looking for an experienced Director of Quality who can continue our ongoing work to define and promote a quality mindset across the entire company. The Director of Quality is responsible for managing QA and QC functions, working with cross-departmental leadership to deliver high-quality products on schedule.

Responsibilities
- Develop the QA and QC functions according to Bio-Works' strategic plan
- Assure quality products and processes by establishing and enforcing quality standards and testing materials and products per ISO 9001:2015.
- Develop, implement, and periodically evaluate a program to ensure the organization's production operations, from raw materials to finished products, meet the quality, integrity, and efficiency standards set by the organization
- Develop a QA/QC staff by recruiting, selecting, orienting, and training employees.
- Complete operational requirements by scheduling and assigning employees and following up on work results
- Manage staff job results by coaching, counseling and supporting your employees
- Create product quality documentation system by writing and updating quality assurance procedures
- Prepare product and process quality reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends.
- Manage Bio-Works external and internal audit activities, including ISO audits and customer audits
- Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, reviewing professional publications, establishing personal networks, and participating in professional societies.
- Achieve financial objectives by preparing the quality team budget, scheduling expenditures, analyzing variances, and initiating corrective actions.
- Contribute to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
Requirements (skills)
- BA or BS in appropriate discipline
- Experience as QA/QC manager in an ISO 9001:2015 company
- Working knowledge of quality system requirements
- Experience with MS Word, Excel, Project Management and Analytics software
- Business fluency in English and Swedish are required
- Strong communication and negotiation skills
- Experience with LEAN / KANBAN / Six Sigma is a plus
- This position is placed in Uppsala so you must possess a permanent work permit to be considered for this role
